Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Please know that we are praying for you and your family and that I am available to pray and talk with you over the phone and the internet. While we are following our Diocesan and governmental directives about keeping social distancing we hope to be connecting through the social media and the phone and in prayer. As Christians we journey through Lent with the Lord Jesus Who displayed great kindness and patience as He endured temptation and suffering for our Salvation leading to His rising from death and ascending to Heaven where He sits at the right of the Father praying for us always and giving us His Holy Spirit. We rely on His Holy Spirit to guide us to be loving , kind, and full of hope even as we face this crisis. We know that God loves us and will never abandon us, therefor we place our trust in Him. Let us continue to pray for one another.
We have made available our ministry of small things to help us keep in touch with one another especially with the elderly and those who are homebound. We are trying to get volunteers to make calls to check on each other and to assist with such things as shopping for those who cannot. Please if you need assistance do not hesitate to call the parish office or me.
Meanwhile we are planning to celebrate the Mass this Sunday and every Sunday while this virus last and broadcast it through the internet. We will give you more information when we have it all arranged. (To clarify, the Sunday Mass will not be open to the public, but it will be streamed online for everyone to view. More information to come.)
Above all let us continue to pray and I promise to pray for you all.
God Bless us all and protect us.
Eduino Silveira, Pastor
