Altar Servers

When the Church comes together to celebrate the liturgy, there is a need for dedicated ministers to take charge of certain responsibilities so that the celebrant can focus his attention on leading the assembly in prayer.

Servers light candles, hold the books, handle the vessels, and arrange the cloths. They help the entire community celebrate by their humble service. The best altar servers look for ways to be helpful every day.

Girls and boys, 5th grade and older, are invited to participate as servers at the altar.

For more information or to volunteer for service, please contact the Deacon Paul Friedrich at 481-5115 or deaconpaul@olaparish.net.
