Environment Committee

Our Lady of the Assumption's Environment committee is a small group of parishioners (volunteers) working to lend beauty to the house of God, reflection to the word of God and lending inspiration to those who gather for worship.

To build and adorn a place of worship requires imagination, devotion, and artistry.

Each month we work with the church interior and the liturgical time.  Inside our church, we decorate the sanctuary differently than the surrounding area.  The seasons also affect our work.  The liturgical year dictates decoration; the simplicity of Lent contracts with the exuberance of Christmas.  Liturgical colors guide us in our decorations.

The Committee meets monthly reviewing upcoming liturgy and our liturgical season to plan the churches environment.  If you would like to share your talents with the church's Environment Ministry please call the parish office at 481-5115.
